ABL put 19.8m shares on offer

Accra (Greater Accra) 15 Jan
Strategic African Securities (SAS) has released the final results of Accra Brewery Limited's (ABL's) recent Rights
Offer which put a total of 19.8 million shares on offer.
A statement from the Ghana Stock Exchange released in Accra
today, put the number of rights applied for at 15 million shares
with seven million in excess.
The statement said ABL's capitalisation is now at 11.6 billion
cedis from the 49.8 million issued shares.
The new shares began trading on the Exchange on Monday,
January 4.
Meanwhile, Directors of Aluworks Limited (ALW) have decided to pay an
interim dividend of 120 cedis per share to all shareholders.
This is payable to all shareholders in the Register of Members of ALW
at the close of business on Friday, January 15.
A statement from the Ghana Stock Exchange said the interim dividend
for 1998 will be paid on January 29.
