GCB opens 136th branch

 The Ghana Commercial Bank Limited (GCB), yesterday opened a new branch at the Gulf House near Tetteh Quashie

Circle in Accra.

Mr. John Sey, chairman of the board of directors of the bank, said the decision to open the branch shows GCB's determination to ensure that banking services are made available to the people as much as possible.

Mr. Sey said the bank would fulfil the objectives expected of it under Vision 2020 document by providing innovative and extensive quality services and products to ensure customer satisfaction.

He announced that the bank's Tower House at Kwame Nkrumah Circle in Accra, which has been standing idle for the past 20 years will be opened for business early next year.

Mr. K.A. Ansah, acting managing director of the bank, said GCB would expand its operations to areas hitherto unexplored for an efficient mobilisation of financial resources.

The new branch is the 17th to be opened in Greater Accra Region.
