Aluworks maintains momentum, but market
still dominated by bearish sentiments

Aluworks Ghana Limited (ALW) on Monday maintained its momentum on the Ghana Stock Exchange as it gained another 100 cedis to push the All Share Index up.
However, the market remained under heavy bearish sentiments as only 1,800 shares, one of the lowest ever, changed hands.
The GSE All-Share index inched up by 0.79 points from 855.89 to 856.68 points in trading that has continued to be offer-driven. The change in the year to date was fixed 16.37 per cent.
Only three equities made gains and only one equity, Accra Brewery Limited (ABL), had positive pressure on it. Thirteen out of the 22 listed equities had negative pressure on them.
Total shares offered were 3.1 million, up from 1.6 million posted last Friday while shares traded declined to 1,800 from 385,600 sold on Friday. Only five equities actually sold shares while all but four equities made offers.
Bids declined from 433,500 to 51,400, but market capitalisation climbed up to 3,631.88 billion cedis, up from 3,630.38 billion cedis.
In the broader market, there were three price changes - all gains. ALW gained the highest of 100 cedis to close trading at 2,900. Enterprise Insurance Commission (EIC) followed with 10 cedis at 2,010 cedis while CFAO Ghana Limited (CFAO) gained a cedi at 40 cedis. The following are the last prices of listed equities in cedis:
