Soccer-B.A United beat Prosports in anniversary match

Newly-promoted premier football club, Brong Ahafo United beat Berekum second division side, Prosports 1-0 in a special soccer match played at the |Coronation Park on Sunday.

The match formed part of activities marking the 40th anniversary celebration of the creation of the Brong Ahafo Region.

The lone goal came in the 26th minute through skipper Alhassan Moro against the run of play.

In a curtain raiser match, Sunyani District colts beat their Techiman counterparts 2-0 to lift the anniversary colts cup.

Both goals were scored in the second half through Kwaku Boakye and Johnson

Agyei in the 50th and 54th minutes.

The Regional Minister, Mr Donald Adabre presented each colts side with 250,000 cedis, anniversary T-shirts and footballs.
