Suame Obaapanin allegedly hires mallam to kill six people

The Asantehema's court is hearing a case in which the Obaapanin of Suame, Madam Akosua Pokuwaah, alias Helena, is alleged to have given the names of six members of her family to a mallam to kill.

The six are Auntie Rose, Akua Wirekoa, Nana Gemfi, Amma Nsiah, Kwabena George and Mohamadu Acheampong.

Her action stemmed from pressure put on her to account for the sale of plots of land at Suame and the threat that she would be removed as the Obaapanin if she failed to account for the money.

According to Mohammed Yaya, the mallam, Obaapanin Pokuwaa approached him at Ejisu and gave her 1.5 million cedis and a list of six persons who she claimed were disturbing her and as such she wanted them to forget about the whole matter spiritually.

Yaya said initially, he succeeded in accomplishing the task but after sometime, Madam Pokuwaah came back to him again and said the people had started harassing her and therefore gave him 1.2 million cedis this time to kill them.

He said when after sometime the people were not dying, Madam Pokuwaah started harassing him until she reported him to the Ejisu police that he had defrauded her.
