Soccer-Two MPs donate to Adansiman F/C

Two members of parliament for Adansiman, Mr A. B. Boadi-Mensah and Mr Akwasi Afrifa have directed that one million cedis each of the MPs common fund be released to support Adansiman F/C in their campaign in the on-going national division one middle league.

Adansiman and five other teams are taking part in the middle league for qualification to the elite premier league next season.

A statement signed by the two MPs at Obuasi on Tuesday expressed the hope that their small contributions will go a long way to propel the club to achieve the goal they have set for themselves and Adansi State.

The MPs appealed to other individuals, groups, organisations and companies operating in the district and other parts of the country to help motivate Adansiman back to Ghana soccer.

Meanwhile, a number of people have donated to the club in respect of their participation in the middle league.

They include, Briamah Owusu-Sekyere Agyemang, District Chief Executive for Adansi East, Mr Samuel Yankey, a businessman, Nana Fosuhene Apenteng and John Afari, both contractors.

In a goodwill message to the players, the executives of the club advised them to be disciplined throughout the tournament.

Adansiman play Kwaebibirim in their opening match of the competition at the Tema Sports Stadium on today.
