Accra (Greater Accra) 28 March 2002 - Government in consultation with the Council of State has appointed Mr. Alex Bruce-Appiah, a cinematographer as a member of the board of directors of GAMA Films Company Ltd.
A statement in Accra on Wednesday said Mr. Bruce-Appiah, is currently the elected member of Assembly for the Mansralor Electoral Area of Dansoman in the South Ablekuma Constituency. He is a product of the Kaneshie Technical Secondary School and Koforidua Normal Technical College, the statement said.
He worked with the defunct Ghana Film Industry Corporation (GFIC) and the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and rose to the position of the Executive Film Director at GBC.
Mr. Bruce-Appiah attended several overseas training courses in film production, including the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) training School in London and the Stockwell College of Education, Vauxhall on Kent in England, the statement added.
