GSE Index stands still under bearish sentiments

The GSE All-Share Index stood
still on Friday after gains at two previous sessions as the market continued to
be dominated by bearish sentiments.
There were no price changes. Ten
out of the 23 listed equities had negative pressure on them while the remaining
13 had no pressure at all. The GSE All-Share Index registered no change at
816.48 points.
Market Capitalisation ended the
week at 3,563.93 billion cedis while the change to date was 10.91 per cent.
Generally, the market continued to
be offer-driven with offers outstripping demand by far. Shares traded went up
marginally at 30,200 from 19,800, once again indicating the absence of institutional
investors from the market.
There was no sale in 12 equities
with the highest number of shares traded being a mere 18,100 shares. The
remaining 10 equities traded 12,100 shares. Offers fell from 2,122,710 shares
to 1,503,390. Bids were equally down at 38,300 from 125,600.
