La Community Bank made a net profit of 1.077 billion cedis last year as against 345 million cedis in 1999.
Total income also rose from 1.1 billion cedis to 2.2 billion cedis in the same period, Mr K.B. Asante, Acting Chairman of the bank announced at its 13th annual general meeting in Accra.
He said prudent management of the balance sheet led to an appreciable improvement in the total assets position of the bank during the year.
The completion of the first phase of the bank's permanent building project also contributed to the achievements as the provision of spacious and comfortable banking hall has created the enabling environment to transact new business.
