Visiting Kwaebibirem held Obuasi Goldfields to a goalless drawn game in their match played at the Len Clay Stadium.
It was one match, the minners could have enjoyed a goal harvest but over elaboration and lack of imagination by the attackers led Nana Arhin Duah robbed them.
Dominating play for pretty 45 minutes, Goldfields failed to translate such dominance into goals.
Kwaebibirem came into the game in the second half but it was the homesters who had a better of the exchanges as Momo Wandel's 58th minute header missed the target narrowly.

Okwawu had the game under control for the greater part of play but failed to score. In the 25th minute, Isaac Asante struck the crossbar with a good volley from 25 metres, but outside left Alfred Darko fumbled with the rebound.
Okwawu had three corner kicks in a row in the 42nd, 43rd and 44th minutes but over elaboration and inaccurate shooting cost them an advantage.
Both teams exhausted their substitutions in the second half, but failed to register any goals until full time.
At the end of the match, Mr. Seth Yeboah, Chairman of Dawu had to be escorted to safety by security personnel and Mr. Kwame Ofosu Bamfo, Chairman of Okwawu United as fans of the home team wanted his blood for allegedly hitting one of them with an umbrella.

Kumasi (Ashanti Region) 31 July 2000
Supporters of Kumasi Asante Kotoko once again trooped out of the Kumasi Sports Stadium dumbfounded as Alhaji Grunsah's King Faisal confirmed their superiority over their idol club pipping them 2-1 in their ABC premier league match in Kumasi on Sunday.
Gradually, the supporters are becoming disillusioned and they are at their wits end as to what is actually happening to the once fabulous club.
Faisal beat Kotoko 1-0 in the first round of the league and the expectations of the fans was that Kotoko were going to avenge the first round defeat.
But this was not to be as Faisal raced into a fourth minute goal through Massawudu Yahaya who capitalised on the confusion in the Kotoko goal area following Frank Osei's cross from the right wing, to push the ball past goalkeeper Osei Boateng.
Parading veterans like Emmanuel Ampiah, goalkeeper Sampson Ampiah, all former players of Kotoko and Nana Frimpong of Goldfields fame, Faisal kept the Kotoko forwards at bay.
However, Kotoko came into the game from the 10th minute and two minutes later, Stephen Oduro cut his way through the Faisal defence to slot in the equaliser.
Eight minutes later, Frank Osei restored Faisal's lead when he rose above the Kotoko defence from a well taken corner-kick to nod the ball past goalkeeper Boateng.
This goal incensed the goalkeeper who rushed on assistant referee one E. Alhaji for allowing the goal when Faisal attacker had pulled him down.
Shilla Alhassan hit the cross bar in the 56th minute and Micheal Osei followed suit in the 72nd minute with a header and as the minutes ticked by, it became obvious that the die was cast for Kotoko.

Accra (Greater Accra) 31 July 2000
Long suffering supporters of Accra Great Olympics went gay singing long before the final whistle as they recorded their biggest win this season when they beat Liberty Professionals by 3-0 in their fifth week ABC Premier league match played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In a match, which the wonder club totally dominated and could have scored more goals, had their striking pair of Roger Odamtten and Nurudeen Raja converting most of the chances that came their way.
Olympics made their intention clear right from the start and should have been awarded a penalty in the 6th minute when Odamtten was brought down in the box but FIFA referee F.K. Mensah from Takoradi waved for play to continue.
Liberty resorted to hard tackles resulting in Daniel Yeboah being shown the yellow card in the 31st minute.
Earlier in the 27th minute, tired looking Bernard Aryee had been replaced by David Boateng.
In the 36th minute, Fuseini Adam opened the floodgates when he rifled in a free kick from the edge of the box into the net after a similar free kick he took three minutes earlier had bounced off the goalpost.
The second half continued as the first as Olympics probed for more goals.
In the 51st minute, Odamtten's shot was pushed to corner by Amonoo Williams in Liberty's post.
Olympics had to wait till the 58th minute for their second and when it came, it was a classic that could easily stand for the goal of the season as Aziz Ansah volleyed in a cross from Raja at the edge of the penalty box.
When everything was heading for a two-goal win for Olympic, Michael Asante scored the third as Aziz Ansah's pass found him unmarked in the box of Liberty.

Accra (Greater Accra) 31 July 2000
Champion Club, Accra Hearts of Oak continued their victory singsong with an emphatic 3-1 win over Sekondi Hasaacas at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
As early as the first minute, Hearts gave signals about their resolve to triumph when a pull-out from the right flank was fumbled with by goalkeeper, George Owu on duty for Hasaacas, but the ensuring melee went in favour of the visitors with a clearance.
Hearts had their first corner-kick in the 11th minute but the Hasaccas defensive network comprising Paul Mensah, Ben Ofei, Atta Yawson and veteran Yaw Serbeh refused to bulge.
In the 17th minute, however, Charles Taylor produced a sterling exhibition of skill, when he dribbled past three defenders and laid a pinpoint pass for inside right Adjah Tetteh to tap in for the opener.
Two minutes later, Issah Mohammed, the pivot of Hasaccas attack made a great solo run ahead of Hearts defence, but Eben Dida in goal for Hearts put up a brave challenge to deny him a goal.
From the 20th minute the game lost its vim as the tempo slowed down considerably, with the only anxiety coming in the 31st minute when George Owu acrobatically tipped a fierce volley by Joe Ansah over the bar.
Hasaccas introduced Kingsley Kwarteng for Paul Mensah in the 37th minute to strengthen their defence, but it turned out to be an irony when Ishmael Addo widened Hearts lead, three minutes later.
Ishmael received a through ball from Charles Taylor and sprinted past a flat Hasaccas defence, before chipping an intelligent one beyond the reach of Owu to send Hearts' faithful followers into chants of jubilation.
Pardoned goalkeeper, James Nanor replaced Eben Dida for Hearts when the second half began and drew cheers from his admirers as he made his first appearance this season.
Three minutes into the half, left wing back, Ben Offei tested the agility of Nanor with a powerful free-kick which went just wide, with the keeper responding with full alertness in a good dive.
Hasaccas raised their game and controlled the centre action, with short, crisp passes induced by Frank Turkson, Emmanuel Okyere and Robert Mensah, but point man, Issah Mohammed was foxed on many occasions by Amankwah Mireku and Agyemang Duah to leave the Sekondi boys on blank.
Hearts brought in Emmanuel Adjogu for Robert Sabah in the 62nd minute and the pendulum swung in their favour once again as Adjogu exerted his influence, by winning loose balls, skipping tackles effectively and distributing accurately.
It was, therefore, true to expectation when Charles Taylor slipped the ball past goalkeeper Owu into an empty net to cushion hearts lead to three in the 73rd minute.
Veteran Kofi Abbrey was substituted in the 76th minute by Ekow Ghansah and this paid dividends as Hasaccas mounted pressure on Hearts.
Then in the 87th minute, under-pressure defender, Adjah Tetteh, who incidentally scored Hearts opener sent a diving header into his own net, beating James Nanor completely to bring the scores to 3-1.
