A driver's mate who stole a car tape, a piece of wax print and cash of 400,000 cedis has been sentenced to 30 months' imprisonment by a circuit court at Asamankese.
Kwaku Bismarck pleaded guilty.
Police Chief Inspector John Boateng said the complainant, Mr Isaac Nkansah, on November 30, last year, travelled from Asuom to Akwatia and returned the same day only to find that the items mentioned and the cash had been stolen from his home.
The complainant had information that Bismarck was a suspect so he reported the matter to the police.
