Ms Holland – Ghana arrives on Friday

Miss Eve Affua Carr, Miss Ghana Holland 1999, arrives in Accra on January 21 to identify charities worthy of support from the Netherlands.

A statement issued by Mr Kofi Sekyiamah, Director, Information Services Department, said on Monday that the visit is part of Miss Carr's package for winning the beauty pageant in December last year.

The Miss Ghana Beauty contest was organised in Holland by the Ghana Embassy and the Recogin, an umbrella organisation of Ghanaian associations in Amsterdam, to promote the image, culture and tourist potential of Ghana in that country.

The statement said the beauty queen would pay a courtesy call on the Minister of Tourism and the Dutch Ambassador.

Miss Carr, a 21-year-old student based in Amsterdam would be accompanied by Mr Larry K. Bosrotsi, a fashion designer in Holland and a representative of the organisers of the beauty contest.
