Tema Country Golf Club will organise an end-of-year golf championship at Tema on Saturday, December 23.

Mr. John Wattenburg, Captain of the Club who announced this in Accra on Tuesday, said the one-day 18-hole stableford competition which is to round off golf activities for the year, is being sponsored by the Club.

All members of the Club are expected to participate in the competition, as there will be many attractive prizes to be won.

Nana Atta Nyamekye, Captain of Achimota Golf Club also announced that a similar competition will be held at Achimota, in Accra, to round off the year.

He said about 200 members of the Club are expected to take part in the competition dubbed "Better Ball".

Nana Nyamekye added that the Club would begin the year 2001 activities with the Monthly Medal and President's Putter competitions on January Six and January 13 respectively.
