electoral fraud

Three persons, including two brothers who were arrested on Thursday for alleged electoral fraud at Nkonya-Ahenkro and Nkonya-Kadjebi in the Jasikan district have been granted police enquiry bail pending further investigations
They are Francisca Ampofoa, 35, who was alleged to have voted twice with two different photo Identity Cards, Onny Botwe and Michael Mensah, who were arrested with two different identity cards each.
According to the Nkonya-Ahenkro police, Ampofoa voted with another identity card bearing the name of Francisca Danso. She was due to be put before court on Monday.
The police said Mensah and Botwe were arrested following a tip-off and investigations showed that Botwe took pictures of two registered voters, Edward Boakye and Joyce Arku and inserted them in different identity cards.
Mensah was also alleged to be in possession of two ID cards bearing names of two minors.
