Accra (Greater Accra) 29 August 2000
All the major market indices of the Ghana Stock Exchange stood still on Monday as the bourse continued to reel under dominant bearish sentiments.
The benchmark, GSE-All share index marked time to close at 819.39 points, the same as last Friday. The index went down by 8.43 points at last Friday's trading session due to a 1,000-cedi loss by Standard Chartered Bank, the second most capitalised equity on the bourse.
Market capitalisation and the change for the year to date remained at 3,569.40 billion cedis and 11.31 per cent respectively.
