Two persons were on Tuesday, put before a circuit tribunal in Accra, charged with causing unlawful damage to property during the recent Teshie chieftaincy riots.

Adjetey Goh, driver, 25 and Ashitey Amarh, 28, unemployed, pleaded not guilty to two counts of conspiracy to cause and causing damage to property worth millions of cedis.

They were granted five million cedis bail each with one surety to re-appear on September 13.

The Prosecution said on August four, supporters of two chieftaincy factions at Teshie clashed in a dispute over which side should perform the custom for the lifting of the ban on deep sea fishing as part of the "Homowo" festival.
