All-Share index gains again in active trading

Business on the stock market was active on Wednesday with the major market indicator making the second successive gain in the week.
The Ghana Stock Exchange's (GSE) All-Share Index gained 3.2 points to close mid-week trading at 784.99. It gained 12.98 points on Monday at 781.79 points.
The change in the year to date stood at negative 9.60 per cent.
Offers were slightly higher but remained within the 3.7 millions range, while shares traded slid to 837,900 shares from 1.2 million recorded on Monday.
Bids ended trading lower from 1.3 million to 981,900 shares.
Market capitalisation finished at 3,275.21 billion cedis as against 3,270.18 billion cedis recorded at the previous trading session.
In the broader market, there were five price changes - three down and two up.
Standard Chartered Bank (SCB) gained 510 cedis to close at 21,060 cedis while Aluworks Company Limited (ALW) closed at 2,650 cedis with a 50-cedi gain.
Accra Breweries Limited (ABL) and Ghana Breweries Limited (GBL) lost 50 cedis each to close at 400 cedis and 1,550 cedis respectively.
Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) finished the session poorer by a cedi at 894 cedis.
