South Africa/Zimbabwe groups perform

Two artistic groups representing Southern African countries observed their day on Wednesday night with singing and captivating cultural performances that won the hearts of the sparse audience at the forecourt of Cape Coast Centre for National Culture.

The day, which forms part of Panafest '99' activities, was to have seen performers from East, Central and northern African countries, but they were absent for unexplained reasons.

The two groups that turned up are individual youths from South Africa and Northern Artistic and Singers Alliance from Zimbabwe (NASA) Clad in identical traditional ceremonial attire, including animal skins, the two group's performance was characterised by fast and precise movements.

The South African troupe dedicated their display to Africa and put up a splendid performance to win the hearts of the audience who joined the dancing to appreciate the performance.
