Two in court for stealing 17 cows

The Wa Circuit Court on Monday remanded 42-year-old Abdulai Jallo, a Fulani herdsman, in prison custody on charges of stealing 17 cows from various kraals in the Jirapa/Lambusie District.
Charged with him was Bonsin Bayor, 45, a cattle dealer, who was granted a 10 million-cedi bail.
The court heard that the police at Jirapa had information on April 4 that a truck loaded with stolen cattle was heading towards Techiman in Brong-Ahafo Region.
The Police intercepted the vehicle and arrested Bayor, and during interrogation at the Jirapa police station, Bayor mentioned Jallo as the person who sold the cattle to him.
