Atwima-Kwanwoma bank to pay interest on current accounts
Kumasi (Ashanti Region) 03 April 2000
The Atwima-Kwanwoma Rural Bank is
to pay interest on current accounts every quarter of the year.
The bank is also taking steps to
reduce the Commission on turnover (COT) charges, give concessionary rates and
grant a waiver on the accounts of every good turnover account.
Mr Godfried Odame-Asare,
Supervising Manager of the bank disclosed at a cocktail organised for its
valued customers in Kumasi last Friday to create an avenue for interaction
between the Management, Board and customers to share ideas for improving the
bank.
Mr Odame-Asare said by the end of
February this year, the bank had mobilised 6.6 billion cedis in deposits and
8.2 billion cedes assets.
Mr George Kyei Baffour, Chairman
of the Board of Directors, said the bank has earmarked 25 million cedis for
development projects within its area of operation as against about 15 million
cedis last year.
The bank gave 30 million cedis for
the provision of furniture and the rehabilitation of seven schools.
Mr Kyei-Baffour urged customers
and people within its area of operation to patronise the bank to enable it
undertake more development projects.
